Vaporiser: Add 6–8 drops of essential oil to a vaporiser or oil burner. Inhalation: Add 3–5 drops of essential oil to a bowl of very hot water, inhale vapours for 5–10 minutes. (Inhalation for children over 10 years only.) Massage: Dilute 5 drops of essential oil in 10 ml of a carrier oil such as Sweet Almond or Jojoba. Bath: Add 4–6 drops of essential oil to 20 ml of a carrier oil. Mix into water.

Do not use essential oils on children under 5 years old. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should avoid basil. Consult your healthcare professional before using essential oils during pregnancy. Due to its variable Methyl Chavicol/Estragole content, best avoided for people with sensitive skin, infants, the elderly and in pregnancy. Keep out of reach of children. May produce an allergic reaction.
